MEDIA RELEASE February 23, 2010 GORDON DENFORD WINS CHAMBER LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD February 23, 2009 – Victoria, BC – The Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce has announced the finalists for the Annual Business Awards. Gordon Denford, President and CEO of Berwick Retirement Communities, will be awarded the Governors’ Lifetime Achievement Award at the gala event on April 28, 2010. The Governors’ Award is selected by the chamber’s Board of Governors. The finalists in 12 other categories go forward to a judging panel whose task it was to whittle the submitted nominees down to 24 finalists. “Each year, recognizing the efforts and excellence of outstanding businesses and business people is an exciting and rewarding event,” says George Fuller, Chair of the Chamber. “These businesses give so much to our community, and it is important to pause and acknowledge their efforts and successes.
